About ATL Composites
ATL Composites has been manufacturing WEST SYSTEM® epoxy products in New Zealand and Australia, under licence to Gougeon Brothers Inc, USA, since 1977.
Initially ATL supplied WEST SYSTEM epoxy into the professional boat building industry in New Zealand for cold-moulded and traditional wooden boat manufacture and that market still remains intact today.
During the 80's, ATL opened an office in Australia, and during that period, were instrumental in the promotion of cedar strip construction (timber composite) for both professional and amateur construction in both countries, with WEST SYSTEM epoxy as an integral part of the construction techniques.
Today, WEST SYSTEM epoxy is a marine industry standard used for everything from basic long-lasting repairs to the construction of high-performance composite structures.
ATL Composites has enjoyed steady growth in Australia for over 40 years. An extensive Distribution / Dealer network has been established in every State and Territory to ensure that WEST SYSTEM marine epoxy products are backed with local supply and technical support.
International Distribution has also been established throughout Asia with WEST SYSTEM epoxy products, manufactured in Australia, now available from local Distributors in Thailand, Japan, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, The Philippines, Hong Kong, Papua New Guinea and Korea.

“ I’m really happy to recommend WEST SYSTEM products because of my personal faith in their performance and quality, based on my own use since first purchasing a 24 ltr kit back in about 1980. In addition, I think that the WEST SYSTEM documentation is the best available, and I push its use regularly.”
Tony Harman - Cambridge, Tasmania
" Since you ran ATL ads featuring Masquerade a few years ago, we have continued to improve our racing performance.
We won the Launceston to Hobart yacht race as you can see via the links in the email below. We added an asymmetric kite to our wardrobe plus a couple of new headsails which have made a difference, plus after several years we know the boat well and are sailing faster.
We also took Masquerade to Victoria at the end of January and raced in the Festival of Sails regatta (Geelong Race Week). We raced in Performance Series Division 1 and finished 6th overall AMS and 5th overall EHC.
The journey across Bass Strait and return tested the boat well and she handled it no problem (including hitting 18.3 knots with only a double reefed main!).
We have really tested your products with our offshore sailing including several hard slogs to windward and can happily say that the hull is as sound as the day it was launched.
